WRENTHAM – King Philip DECA Vice President of Marketing Hannah Mahoney would like to provide an announcement regarding the high school’s business club:
On Wednesday Nov. 13, King Philip DECA Chapter Officers traveled into Boston for the Massachusetts DECA annual DECA Day on the Hill event. Officers from DECA chapters across the state were joined by Massachusetts senators, state representatives and former DECA members.
KP DECA and Massachusetts DECA members in attendance were able to hear about what former members got out of the organizations and why they are so valuable. King Philip DECA received a citation from State Rep. Shawn Dooley and State Senator Rebecca Rausch.
Later in the week, King Philip DECA held their annual breakfast and installation ceremony on Nov. 20. Members and their families heard from King Philip Regional School District Superintendent Paul Zinni, who spoke about how honored he was to have such a rewarding and hands-on class in his school district. After Superintendent Zinni’s welcome remarks, 105 members and the new chapter officer team were officially inducted into the King Philip DECA program. Members and their families then heard from State Rep. Dooley about how proud he is to be able to represent King Philip and our DECA program.
After the installation ceremony, members and their families enjoyed breakfast catered by King Street Café in Franklin. Members then headed out to the King Philip High School turf field for the annual chapter group picture.
