WRENTHAM — King Philip DECA Vice President of Marketing Hannah Mahoney would like to provide an update on the high school’s business club:
On Oct. 22, King Philip DECA officers attended the annual DECA Fall State Leadership Conference held at the Westford Regency Inn and Conference Center in Westford. There, the officers attended leadership workshops and training, networked with other DECA students from across the state, and participated in an etiquette lunch.
King Philip DECA’s main reason for attending the conference was to improve their leadership skills, gain more insight on the DECA program and to meet other leaders from the surrounding DECA chapters. Through the different leadership workshops, officers learned how to delegate tasks and what could happen to a chapter if the officers are not leading properly.
This is the second year that King Philip DECA is open to sophomores, increasing membership to the most it has ever been. With the help of the Fall State Leadership Conference, the officers will be able to use their newly acquired leadership skills to successfully lead and guide the chapter to the best of their ability.
